Up on the Roof

Up on the Roof is a romantic comedy that feels a real throwback to the classics of the 90s, and to mark its release we had the pleasure in speaking to its leading man, Piotr Adamczyk. The affable, Polish performer, spoke to us about shooting the film in a barren, lockdown-London, and on his working relationship with co-star Natalia Tena.

He also speaks about the character being called ‘Stefan’, which is a great name – and he talks about subverting stereotypes of Polish people in film & TV, acknowledging that it is something of a rarity for a leading man in a rom-com to be given to an actor from that part of the world. He also speaks about returning in For All Mankind and what audiences can expect, and why he wants a Hawkeye return, and whether he can get his hands on any of the action figures of his character… Watch the full interview with Piotr below.

IMDB Synopsis

The film tells the story of two people Emily (Natalia Tena), and an amusingly charming 42-year-old Polish man Stefan (Piotr Adamczyk) living in London for years. The couple fell in love with each other 15 years earlier, but the proverbial “happy ending” was not immediately written for them. By a surprising twist of fate, will their meeting after so many years be a reason to rekindle their love? Will they, richer in life experiences, give each other a second chance? What do their loved ones have to say about all this?

Up on the Roof is released on April 21stÂ
