The Trolls are back with a third cinematic outing, this time in Trolls Band Together – and to mark the film’s release, we spoke to the director Walt Dohrn.
The filmmaker, who has an affable demeanour that you’d expect from the man who helms such feel-good, vibrant movies – talks about the popularity of this franchise, and what he believes gives them such longevity. We naturally talk about the music, which plays a huge part in the world, with a voice cast consisting of the likes of Justin Timberlake and Kid Cudi, and of course on this occasion, the return of boyband NSYNC, as Dohrn tells us what that was like bringing the band back together. Synopsis
Poppy discovers that Branch and his four brothers were once part of her favorite boy band. When one of his siblings, Floyd, gets kidnapped by a pair of nefarious villains, Branch and Poppy embark on a harrowing and emotional journey to reunite the other brothers and rescue Floyd from a fate even worse than pop culture obscurity.
