So here we are on the final stretch. As can unfortunately be said of every major release of the summer so far, more is never enough and so we now face the bombardment phase of the publicity and marketing for Transformers: Dark of the Moon, where we are essentially pummelled into submission.

Please do not misunderstand me, I love a good summer blockbuster as much as the next guy and I am greatly looking forward to this film, but there is something deeply frustrating about being subjected to relentless trailers and TV spots as the studio pursues that all-important hefty opening weekend.

So here we have another TV spot for Transformers and although much of it is familiar from previous trailers, we do have a couple of shots that look new. What is massively surprising for a film like this is just how much the clip focuses on explosions, destruction and robots. I genuinely did not see that coming.

Enjoy very much.

Dave has been writing for HeyUGuys since mid-2010 and has found them to be the most intelligent, friendly, erudite and insightful bunch of film fans you could hope to work with. He's gone from ham-fisted attempts at writing the news to interviewing Lawrence Bender, Renny Harlin and Julian Glover, to writing articles about things he loves that people have actually read. He has fairly broad tastes as far as films are concerned, though given the choice he's likely to go for Con Air over Battleship Potemkin most days. He's pretty sure that 2001: A Space Odyssey is the most overrated mess in cinematic history.
