Spine chilling and heart thumping abounds as A24 have done it again with the hair tingling second trailer for It Comes At Night which stars Joel Edgerton and Riley Keogh.

With some dubbing, the trailer a misrepresentation of what the movie actually is, more of a continuous feeling of dread rather than a full out horror, very much along the lines of last year’s Robert Eggers directed, The Witch.  Director Trey Edward Shults self-proclaimed bumpy ride could very be the injection of life a flagging horror genre needs to bring it back to life, similar to the first trailer, which you can view here.

Paranoia reigns but with all too good a reason as the emphasis is yet again placed on keeping the red door locked at all times. Darting from scene to creepy hair-raising scene, the words Paranoia, Love, Pain and Evil are jaggedly thrown out across the screen merging the fear that ensues culminating in a thrilling ending.

It comes at night

Joining Edgerton on the cast of the critically acclaimed film are Riley Keough (Mad Max: Fury Road, American Honey), Christopher Abbott (Whiskey Tango Foxtrot), Carmen Ejogo (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Selma) and Kelvin Harrison Jr. (The Birth of a Nation, 12 Years a Slave).
