Another Tuesday, another new Toy Story 3 character revealed and this one looks nasty. I’m convinced I had one of these when I was a kid, but of course that’s impossible.
Nonetheless, the legendary Toy Story toymakers have outdone themselves this time, and every single new character seems to fit in perfectly with the world of Buzz and Woody, no small feat considering the love many people have for the established characters.
And though it is very likely that some of these new characters will be relegated to a few sight gags and a red-shirt type early death at the hands of eager kids I’m hoping Sparks will be around for the long haul in the film (and I really want a cylon vocoder voice to go along with his LED eyes too, but that’s just me…)
Toy Story 3 is released 23rd July this year.
Sparks Description
Sparks will fly – literally – during electrifying playtimes with your new robot friend Sparks! This retro-inspired toy has flashing red LED eyes and a blaster cavity that actually spits out real sparks when he’s rolled along on his sturdy rubber wheels. Sparks also sports telescoping arms with working pincers, and an elevator action that raises his entire body to new heights. Sparking action completely child-safe. Requires two AA batteries (not included).
