The end of 2019 is almost upon us, which means that once again the time has come for film journalists to perform that toughest of tasks; whittling down all the films they’ve seen over the past 300+ days into a top 10 list.
It’s an undertaking that YOU – the great and good of the online film UK community – have been equal to in the past, with Skyfall, Gravity, Boyhood, Mad Max: Fury Road, Arrival, Get Out, and Mission: Impossible – Fallout all securing the top spot. Now the time has come for you to submit your 2019 lists, and with the lack of a clear favourite this year’s poll should be especially interesting…
For those of you who are new to this, here’s the 411:
UK releases only!: This simply means that films which open in the UK in 2020 such as Jojo Rabbit, 1917, Waves, and Bombshell are not eligible for your lists. Furthermore, films such as If Beale Street Could Talk, The Favourite, Vice, and Destroyer – all of which opened in the US in 2018 but didn’t arrive in the UK until this year – are fair game.
