To celebrate the release of The Crowded Room, the new series streaming on Apple TV+, we had the pleasure of chatting with some of its extraordinary cast to learn more about this tense puzzle box.

“The Crowded Room” follows ‘Danny Sullivan’ (Holland), a man who is arrested following his involvement in a shooting in New York City in 1979. A captivating thriller told through a series of interviews with curious interrogator ‘Rya Goodwin’ (Amanda Seyfried), Danny’s life story unfolds, revealing elements of the mysterious past that shaped him, and the twists and turns that will lead him to a life-altering revelation. Featuring an ensemble cast led by Holland, the series also stars Emmy Rossum, Sasha Lane, Will Chase, and Lior Raz along with guest stars Jason Isaacs, Christopher Abbott, Thomas Sadoski, and Zachary Golinger.

First, we chat to Tom Holland – also an executive producer on the show – about his leading role as Danny Sullivan, the unique challenges with the role and how it differs from his other roles, the mindset of the role, sharing screen-time with Amanda Seyfried, his passion for the project and shining a light on mental health issues and more. We, of course, also chatted about Spider-Man: No Way Home and the reaction it had and continues to have 18 months later.

Next, we chat to Amanda Seyfried and Emmy Rossum about their roles in the show, the lure of the scripts and why it was immediately something they wanted to get involved with, why their parts are very different from those they have taken on before, and, of course, working with Holland and Akiva Goldsman.
