When asked by Marc Malkin from E! Online about a Les Grossman movie Cruise answered:
“We’re working on it,” he beamed. “Yup, we’re working on it.”
I didn’t find the Les Grossman character that funny in Tropic Thunder, I found it a bit too forced, but I know a lot of people did.
That said, would people still find the character that funny when stretched out to two hours? It would take a great script to flesh the character out more and to keep the laughs going. Grossman is probably the most loved thing that Cruise has done recently and you can’t really blame him for trying to get the most out of it but I suspect a Grossman movie might be taking it a little too far.
What do you think, could the Les Grossman character work as the basis for a feature film?
