It looks like two of the biggest and most-anticipated movies of 2012 might soon be appearing in tandem in the form of The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises.

NolanFans.com report that The Avengers screenings in the US will have the third trailer for The Dark Knight Rises attached, which will make getting to the cinema before the trailer begin absolutely essential.

With The Avengers being released in the US on 4th May, just over a week later than its UK release on 26th April, I fear that we here in the UK might be scuppered by our early release of The Avengers to miss what is sure to be an immense new trailer for The Dark Knight Rises on the big screen this weekend.

However, there is of course no cause for alarm. The trailer will inevitably make its way to the Internet, either before or after its attachment to The Avengers in the US. And it will almost certainly be attached to another film if it doesn’t make its way to our screens in a few days’ time.

If I had to, I’d imagine that Dark Shadows, which is released here on 11th May, will almost certainly be Warner Bros.’ film of choice for the new trailer – which would equally make getting to the cinema early before the trailers begin absolutely essential when it comes out next month.

Whether we get to see it with The Avengers (Avengers Assemble) or not, you can be sure that the third trailer will be immense, and create even more anticipation for what could potentially be the year’s biggest and best film.
