Regan Hall’s debut film looks set to benefit from the Olympic fever which is set to spread across the UK this summer and today we’ve got a first look trailer for you to enjoy.

Fast Girls sets its scene around the high profile athletics championship and there’s hints of class rivalry and inspirational speeches aplenty on show here. Noel Clarke co-wrote the film and takes a leading role as the team’s coach with Lenora Crichlow, Philip Davis, Lily James and Lorraine Burroughs lining up to star in the film. Crichlow has impressed on the small screen with roles in Sugar Rush and Being Human, and as long as there’s a reach beyond the stereotypical we should be in for a fun ride.

Here’s synopsis for your eyes,

When sassy streetwise Shania (Lenora Crichlow) meets ambitious, middle class Lisa (Lily James), their two worlds collide on the athletics track with explosive results. As the girls strive to qualify for a major world athletics championship, they battle adversity and rivalry on their dramatic, heartwarming and inspirational journey.
