Here’s a new look at Adam Shankman’s adaptation of the musical Rock of Ages and it’s much the same as before – loud music, big hair and a monkey in a leather jacket.
Here we get to see Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and a marvellously moustached Paul Giamatti lending their lungs to the 80s set tale of big dreams and big cities.
Early 80s rock may not be the safest foundation on which to build a musical monolith but the success of the stage musical and the talent collected by New Line points to a lot of confidence in this one.
