As if you didn’t already have a good enough reason to go see the new Muppets movie when it opens in U.S. cinemas on November 23rd and in the UK (rather frustratingly) three months later on February 17th 2012, here’s another one: Disney announced at the recent D23 Expo that they’re attaching a new Toy Story short film to it.

Entitled Toy Story: Small Fry and directed by Angus MacLane, the new short will apparently see Buzz Lightyear left in a fast food restaurant and replaced by a three-inch-tall impersonator, with the real Buzz then having to face a support group for discarded toys while his friends work out how to rescue him.

The Toy Story gang are no strangers to short films – Hawaiian Vacation played before Cars 2 this summer – and with unconfirmed reports of a fourth full-length adventure for Woody and co. continuing to swirl, it certainly looks like we haven’t heard the last of Pixar’s most famous characters.
