The first poster for what should be a cracking film from David Fincher called The Social Network has been released. Based on Ben Mezrich’s book The Accidental Billionaires which is about the creation of Facebook, it stars Jesse Eisenberg (Zombieland) as Mark Zuckerberg who created Facebook, Justin Timberlake (Southland Tales) as Sean Parker who was Facebook’s founding President; and Andrew Garfield (Never let me go) as Eduardo Saverin another Facebook co-founder who falls out with Zuckerberg over money.

Fincher rarely makes a bad film with Se7en, Fight Club and the incredible Zodiac all being personal favourites and with a script from Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing, Studio 60) The Social Network should be something really fascinating as Facebook is something almost everyone has heard of and learning of it’s creation and the problems that occurred will know doubt have people interested whether they use the Social Network phenomenon or not. The casting too looks good with Jesse Eisenberg growing into a really capable actor who can handle more serious roles, I’m still undecided on Timberlake but I’ve heard good things and with Andrew Garfield appearing in the incredible looking Never Let Me Go, he seems a fine choice and it all bodes well for the quality of the film.

The Social Network should have a trailer soon so keep checking the site, The film is due for release on October 15th in UK and 1st October in the States.
