During the conversation we learned about the shaping of Sally Hawkins’ character, how the director gave her the films of Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy to fully appreciate the grace of their performances. Hawkins herself siad ‘It was like a dance, she has this inner music and such a rich life, it’s Guillermo’s magic that it has this synchronicity.’

It’s a fascinating and often hilarious interview with the cast and director, the film is released in the US on the 8th of December, and the 16th of February, 2018 in the UK.
