Jacob Elordi’s career is soaring right now, the ‘Priscilla’ and ‘Saltburn’ actor has joined the cast of Guillermo del Toro’s Netflix adaptation ‘Frankenstein.’

Elordi will take on the role of Frakenstein’s monster, taking over the role from a departing Andrew Garfield. Garfield is said to be stepping away from the project due to scheduling conflicts.

The previously announced cast includes Oscar Isaac, who is playing Victor Frankenstein, as well as Mia Goth and Christoph Waltz. Felix Kammerer (“All Quiet on the Western Front”), Lars Mikkelsen (“The Witcher”), David Bradley (“Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio”) and Christian Convery (“Sweet Tooth”) have also joined the cast.

Based on Mary Shelley’s novel about the brilliant but egotistical scientist Victor Frankenstein, who brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment, Del Toro is writing directing and producing.

Elordi, gained widespread recognition for his role in HBO’s ‘Euphoria.’ He has experience playing both real and fictional characters. In Sofia Coppola’s ‘Priscilla,’ he portrayed Elvis Presley. He also starred in Emerald Fennell’s dark comedy “Saltburn,” alongside Barry Keoghan, which premiered last year.
