Fast & Furious 7 premiered last night at SXSW, and the reviews so far have been positive. The usual complaints are there, but the handling of the late Paul Walker’s departure from the franchise has been widely praised. Long story short, it sounds like fans of the series will love this seventh instalment!
A new international trailer has been released today, and it puts the spotlight on the team taking aim at the villainous Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) who is out to kill them after they took his brother down in the last movie. There’s also plenty of action-packed new footage from Fast & Furious 7 to get your motor revving!
The cast of Fast & Furious 7 includes Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Elsa Pataky, Lucas Black, Jason Statham, Djimon Hounsou, Tony Jaa, Nathalie Emmanuel, Ronda Rousey, and Kurt Russell. It’s fair to say that the movie has one hell of a line up!
Since the release of Fast Five in 2011, the franchise has gone from strength to strength and is big earner for Universal Pictures. The tragic passing of Walker obviously had a huge impact on this instalment, but it has since been reported that his character will be given a fitting send off in the seventh Fast & Furious movie.
