When I posted the new images from It’s Kind of a Funny Story a couple of days ago I mentioned that a trailer would probably be with us imminently. It doesn’t happen often but this time, it urns out I’m right as Yahoo posted one last night.
It’s Kind of a Funny story stars Zack Galifianakis, Emma Roberts, Lauren Graham, Adrian Martinez, Zoë Kravitz, Viola Davis, Jeremy Davies and Jim Gaffigan. The movie is directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck and is based on the novel by Ned Vizzini.
Synopsis: Stressed out from the demands of being a teenager, 16-year-old Craig checks himself into a mental health clinic. There he learns that the youth ward is closed and finds himself stuck in the adult ward. One of the patients, Bobby, soon becomes both Craig’s mentor and protege. Craig is also drawn to another 16-year-old, Noelle. With a minimum five days’ stay imposed on him, Craig is sustained by friendships on both the inside and the outside as he learns more about life, love, and the pressures of growing up.
From the trailer alone, this movie looks like it could be rather, to use a phrase in the trailer, awesome! No UK release date yet but I’ll keep you posted.
