Netflix has released the teaser trailer for ‘The Mosquito Bowl,’ the upcoming World War II drama directed by Peter Berg and starring Nicholas Galitzine, Bill Skarsgård, Ray Nicholson and Tom Francis.
Based on the extraordinary true story surrounding one of the most remarkable football games ever played, The Mosquito Bowl follows four of America’s top college football stars who put their fame and promising sporting careers aside following the attack on Pearl Harbour to enlist in the U.S. Marines.
As the young men prepare for the brutal invasion of Okinawa, they find themselves taking part in a legendary football game featuring some of the greatest players in college football history. With the realities of war looming over them, the game takes on a tragic significance, as for many of the players, it will be the last game they ever play.
The teaser offers a glimpse at the young men caught between the glory of the football field and the devastating realities of war, as their athletic dreams give way to a fight for survival.
Peter Berg directs the film, with Nicholas Galitzine, Bill Skarsgård, Ray Nicholson, Tom Francis, Brent Comer and Dominic Bogart leading the cast.
