Disney has launched a second trailer and posters for Jon Favreau’s ‘Star Wars’ spin-off series ‘The Mandalorian’ which launches on Disney+ on November 12th.

The series is set after the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

Favreau will write, direct and executive produce the series for the Disney streaming service which launches late 2019. Disney is hoping the new service will rival the likes of Netflix. Bryce Dallas Howard and Taika Waititi have also been named as directors for the eight-episode series alongside Rick Famuyiwa, Deborah Chow and Dave Filoni who will direct the first episode.

Pedro Pascal plays The Mandalorian and works alone as a bounty hunter.

Giancarlo Esposito plays Moff Gideon, a former sector governor under The Empire who has become an ambitious warlord who has managed to retain a powerful army.

Taiki Waititi will voice the bounty hunter droid IG-11 with the official description saying: “Often gets mistaken for the famous IG-88 in the show (just as fans watching the trailer have mistaken him for IG-88 in real life).”

Running over ten episodes, the first season has a reportedly combined budget of $100 million and premieres on Disney+ November 12th 2019
