The-Lego-Movie-Batman-Preview-sliceFollowing on a few weeks from the launch of the second trailer for The Lego Movie, Warner Bros. has now released a great little teaser for the film, giving another look at Will Arnett voicing that ever-iconic caped crusader, Batman.

And it doesn’t get much better than seeing the old batarang in LEGO form.

The Lego Movie follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.

Chris Pratt leads the stellar voice cast as the perfectly average Emmet, with Arnett topping a great ensemble, alongside Elizabeth Banks, Will Ferrell, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Alison Brie, and Nick Offerman.

After making a big name for themselves with their debut feature, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Phil Lord and Chris Miller made the transition to live-action with last year’s 21 Jump Street, and now they’ve returned to the world of animation to bring the classic toy to the big screen for the first time.

The duo are directing from a script they co-wrote, based on a story they wrote with Dan and Kevin Hageman (Hotel Transylvania).

The Lego Movie will be released in 2D and 3D on February 7th, 2014 in the US, with its UK release date set for the following week on 14th February.
