The Hollywood Reporter have confirmed that Daniel Stamm, director of the surprise hit The Last Exorcism, will direct the next film in M. Night Shyamalan’s The Night Chronicles series, Reincarnate.
The first of these three fantasy tales, Devil, opens here and in the US on Friday.
We correctly predicted that Stamm’s next feature would be one of Shyamalan’s projects during a roundtable junket last month, where we suggested the Unbreakable creater as three of four possible filmmakers involved.
Reincarnate, by the writers Chris Sparling and Paul Grellong (who are behind the much anticipated Ryan Reynolds one-man acting showcase Buried), follows a jury who have to deal with supernatural forces while deciding the fate of an accused murderer.
Production on the film is due to being in early 2011.
