Lizzy-CaplanAfter making their directorial debuts this year with the hugely successful apocalyptic comedy, This Is The End, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are prepping their anticipated sophomore feature, The Interview.

Rogen and James Franco have been attached as the leads for a few months, and now it looks like they’ve found their female lead in Lizzy Caplan.

The film revolves around a handsome talk-show host (Franco) and his producer (Rogen), who unwittingly get involved in a plot to assassinate the prime minister of North Korea.

Caplan is set to star as Agent Lacey, who is described as a hot, cleavage-showing CIA agent who wants Franco’s host character to assassinate the prime minister.

Rogen and Goldberg are once more directing from their own script, and will also be producing the movie together.

Caplan, Rogen, and Franco all worked together on a few episodes of Freaks and Geeks, and it’s great to hear that they’ll be sharing the screen once more in The Interview now they’re all grown up.

Caplan was joint lead in last year’s Marvel One-Shot: Item 47, and has since been starring opposite Michael Sheen in the anticipated Masters of Sex, which aired its pilot episode over the weekend.

No word yet on when we can expect The Interview to hit cinemas, but given all the brilliant talent involved on this one, it will definitely be wanted sooner rather than later.
