The-Hangover-Part-III-Teaser-PosterThe Hangover Part III is pretty much guaranteed to be one of the biggest films of the year, with the film set to bring a close to the highly-successful franchise.

The last instalment took more than half a billion dollars for Warner Bros., and whilst the studio have been keeping their cards very tight to their chest for this one, we imagine that it’s going to be a brilliant finale.

We’ve recently been treated to an awesome first poster, parodying an epic showdown between Alan and Chow, Harry Potter-style. And with its release now less than three months away, the studio have finally debuted the first trailer, giving us a great look at the comedy we have coming our way at the start of summer.

This time, there’s no wedding. No bachelor party. What could go wrong, right? But when the Wolfpack hits the road, all bets are off.

Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, and Justin Bartha will be back for one final outing as the Wolfpack. And they’re joined by another terrific ensemble, led by Ken Jeong, John Goodman, Heather Graham, Jamie Chung, Jeffrey Tambor, and Mike Epps.

Todd Phillips is at the helm once more, directing from a script he co-wrote with Craig Mazin (The Hangover Part II). And Phillips is producing alongside frequent collaborator Daniel Goldberg (Due Date, The Hangover).

Warner Bros. have done a great job of keeping things quiet for The Hangover Part III, with plot details largely being kept under wraps, which is just how we like it. The secrecy has to end at some point, of course, which is where this first trailer comes in. And kudos to the studio for choosing not to go for a saturation campaign here, when they easily could have, instead keeping things quiet for as long as possible.

The Hangover Part III will be released on 24th May in the UK and US, putting it in direct competition with Universal’s and Justin Lin’s Fast and Furious 6, along with Blue Sky Studios’ and Chris Wedge’s Epic. It’s sure to be a huge weekend at the box office, and quite possibly the biggest of the year. I can’t wait to see how all three films turn out.
