Colin Trevorrow has had a busy few years. Not content with reanimating a classic franchise under the watchful eye of Steven Spielberg with Jurassic World, he’ll be finishing up the Skywalker saga in 2019 with Star Wars: Episode IX. Not bad for the Safety Not Guaranteed director… Today sees the release of a new poster and trailer for his latest film, The Book of Henry. Mighty fine they are looking too.

The Book of Henry

Written by Gregg Hurwitz (whose work has mainly been on TV, resurrecting the alien invaders mini series V) The Book of Henry is described as

the story of a single mother raising two boys, one of whom is a genius. After she discovers a book written by her son containing a plan to right a terrible wrong happening next door, she attempts to execute the plan, and in the process discovers new strength as a parent.

Room’s Jacob Tremblay joins a fine cast including Naomi Watts, Lee Pace, Sarah Silverman, Maddie Zielger and Midnight Special’s Jaeden Lieberher (seen only yesterday in a leading role in the new movie version of Stephen King’s IT).

First up we have the poster, and it’s a very good one, although there is something Phantom Menace-y about the be-goggled boy…

You might take a glance at this new poster and jump immediately to the work of the great Drew Struzan, but no – this is the work of James Goodridge, whose portfollio contains many amazing pieces you’ve probably seen before.

The Book of Henry debuts in the US on the 23rd of June, 2017.
