Telling the story of Black Panther leader Huey P. Newton, The Big Cigar sees Huey team up with Hollywood producers to escape to Cuba following a false murder conviction.
We spoke to Andre Holland about his starring role as Huey and the pressure of depicting a real life figure. We also spoke to PJ Byrne and Alessandro Nivola about the relationship between their two characters. Finally, we spoke to Tiffany Boone about the importance of women within the Black Panther movement.
The six-episode drama premieres globally on May 17th with the first two episodes, followed by new episodes every Friday through June 14.
