Apparently the 20th of April (4/20 as it is known in the States) is an important date in any stoner’s calendar and has become a date synonymous with the celebration of cannabis culture.

To mark this date a new teaser has appeared online for the forthcoming stoner comedy High School, directed by first time feature director John Stalberg and starring Adrien Brody, who provides the voiceover for the teaser.

A lot of the buzz coming out of Sundance has suggested that this film is really entertaining and hilarious and the teaser has a lot of pull quotes from notable blogs singing its praises. Although the teaser does not show a lot of the film it does look really intriguing.

The synopsis from Slashfilm is as follows:

Michael Chiklis plays a smarmy high school principal who suddenly institutes a zero-tolerance crusade, introducing mandatory drug tests for all students. Failure of which will result in immediate expulsion. Matt Bush plays a straight-arrow valedictorian named Henry Burke who normally would have nothing to worry about, except he just tried marijuana for the very first time. I’ll let the Sundance description take over: “With his college scholarship hanging in the balance, Burke begrudgingly teams up with charismatic pothead Travis Breaux to do the only thing they can think of to neutralize this threat—get the entire student body stoned.
