class=”alignleft size-full wp-image-35970″ title=”Taylor Swift” src=”https://www.heyuguys.com/images/2010/08/Taylor-Swift.jpg” alt=”” width=”192″ height=”256″ />Taylor Swift is reportedly in talks to reprise her role in a sequel to last February’s star-studded Valentine’s Day, a film equally imaginatively titled New Year’s Eve.

The sequel, like the original, looks set to be helmed by Garry Marshall, whose competent direction miraculously prevented Valentine’s Day from being an overcrowded mess…just.

E online, who quote one of their ‘sneakiest sources’, report  “[those involved] were thinking about having Taylor Swift be in college at NYU. They were throwing her name out there a while back.”

It is likely that Swift will be the only original castmember to return for further festivities, her fellow Taylor no doubt busy with Breaking Dawn.

With a script already drafted by Valentine’s Day scribe Katherine Fugate and filming scheduled to commence later this year, the film isn’t due for release until 9 December, 2011.

With last new year offering such rom-com delights as Did You Hear About The Morgans?, It’s Complicated and (cough) Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, 2011 might even end on a relative high.
