Tangled (Disney’s first CGI Fairytale film) has scored an impressive $96,570,812 in it’s second week, although it still has a way to go before reaching its budget, which is reportedly around the $260 million mark. The studio must be hedging all bets on Tron Legacy now, which opens in two weeks.

Burlesque, the “long-awaited” Christina Aguilera and Cher team-up has also jumped up a place from last week to populate third place. It may have been compared to the notorious, similarly-themed Showgirls by US critics, but it’s certainly won’t be as big a flop as Paul Verhoven’s 1995 feature, although it’s still under half way to recouping it’s original budget of $55m, which is a huge budget for a film like this.
