Almost flying under the radar with an April 7th

As romantic comedies go, Table 19 doesn’t exactly stand out, but there will be an audience out there who will love it. The trailer focuses on Kendrick attending a friend’s wedding who just happens to be marrying the brother of her ex-boyfriend who unceremoniously dumped her via a text message. Stuck at the table at the back, full of fellow losers who no one cares about, friendships flourish as the bitter and twisted guests reveal themselves. Predictably could love also flourish for our protagonist? We can safely bet it does.
Directed by Jeffrey Blitz and harbouring an impressive cast list alongside Kendrick including Craig Robinson, June Squibb, Lisa Kudrow, Stephen Merchant, Tony Revolori, Wyatt Russell, Amanda Crew we just can’t attach the same level of enthusiasm or impressive label to the fairly run of the mill trailer.
We can’t help but wonder, will Kendrick be typecast in these roles for the rest of her life? Surely she has more in her acting arsenal!

Table 19 Official Synopsis
Ex-maid of honour Eloise (Anna Kendrick) – having been relieved of her duties after being unceremoniously dumped by the best man via text – decides to hold her head up high and attend her oldest friend’s wedding anyway. She finds herself seated at the ‘random’ table in the back of the ballroom with a disparate group of strangers, most of whom should have known to just send regrets (but not before sending something nice off the registry). As everyone’s secrets are revealed, Eloise learns a thing or two from the denizens of Table 19. Friendships – and even a little romance – can happen under the most unlikely circumstances.
