Tubi has unveiled the official trailer for ‘Summer’s Last Resort,’ a new coming-of-age comedy set to premiere exclusively on the streaming platform on Friday, July 3.
The film follows a high-strung teenager whose summer getaway quickly turns into a chaotic mission when she finds herself trapped on vacation with her free-spirited mother’s eager-to-please new boyfriend. Making matters worse, the man also happens to be her vice principal.
Determined to put an end to the budding romance, she secretly sets out to break the couple up. However, her carefully crafted scheme soon spirals into a whirlwind of sunburns, sabotage, awkward encounters and unexpected emotions, leading to a summer she never saw coming.
The film stars Sophia Bush, Jerry O’Connell, Violet McGraw, Tim Rozon and Clara Alexandrova.
‘Summer’s Last Resort’ is written by Emily Andras, best known for her work on ‘Wynonna Earp’ and ‘Lost Girl.’ The film is directed by Melanie Scrofano, whose credits include ‘Heartland’ and ‘Wynonna Earp.’
