Signature Entertainment has unveiled the first teaser trailer for ‘Rise of the Footsoldier: Retribution,’ while also confirming that the latest chapter in the long-running British crime franchise will arrive exclusively in UK and Irish cinemas on 28 August 2026.
The seventh instalment in the cult action-crime series sees Craig Fairbrass return as notorious criminal Pat Tate, with franchise veteran Nick Nevern back in the director’s chair for what is being described as the biggest and most ambitious entry in the saga to date.
Set against the sun-soaked but dangerous backdrop of 1990s Ibiza, ‘Rise of the Footsoldier: Retribution’ delivers a standalone revenge story packed with brutal action, international conspiracies and high-stakes criminal warfare. The newly released trailer teases explosive shootouts, deadly confrontations and a relentless Pat Tate on a mission of vengeance.
In the film, Tate travels to Ibiza seeking revenge for the murder of a trusted friend. His quest soon leads him into a complex weapons trafficking operation run by ruthless mercenaries, played by Tamer Hassan and Leo Gregory. As tensions escalate, Tate discovers the operation is also under the watchful eye of the CIA. Driven by rage and determined to settle the score, he quickly becomes a target himself, hunted by arms dealers, mercenaries and American agents alike. What follows is a brutal battle for survival as Tate fights to become the last man standing.
The film boasts one of the strongest ensembles in the franchise’s history, starring Craig Fairbrass, Tamer Hassan, Leo Gregory, Jamie Foreman, Jana Perez, Ross McCall, Vincent Regan and Phil Davis, while also introducing Vanessa Bauer in her feature film debut.
