Following the release of two cool covers focusing on The Joker and Enchatress (which you can find by clicking here), Empire Magazine has now unleashed a new look at Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Will Smith – in his first major comic book role – as Deadshot in Suicide Squad. The DC Comics adaptation is being directed by Fury and End of Watch’s David Ayer.

Talking to the magazine about playing Deadshot in Suicide Squad, Smith had this to say about what lands the Batman villain and top assassin behind bars. “As the movie opens, he has a really big career score. He’s looking to turn over a new leaf with his daughter after the hit, but it goes wrong. It goes terribly, terribly wrong. And it lands him in Belle Reve for life.”

Robbie didn’t really have much to say about her role as Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, but Smith did offer some insight into how she factors into Task Force X and her relationship with Deadshot and The Joker. “Harley is the biggest troublemaker,” he teased, “but Deadshot’s actually eyeballing her a little bit. There’s a pretty ragged romantic triangle there.”

Suicide Squad looks very unique, and Warner Bros. have nailed the looks of both of these villains. By far the most divisive so far has of course been The Joker, and you can see him and many of the movie’s other characters by checking out some new images right here.
