It’s the final countdown to Episode VIII and Rian Johnson’s The Last Jedi is beginning to feel the full force of the Star Wars marketing bandwagon. Just a few weeks after the epic full trailer we have the first of a number of TV spots, showing off new footage and giving us a more of an insight into the events of the film.

It begins with a shot many have wished to see for a long time – Luke Skywalker back on the Millennium Falcon. He’s still wearing the mask of confusion and curmudgeon that we’ve come to expect, but it’s a neat link to the past. We also see new shots of Daisy Ridley’s Rey with her lightsaber, John Boyega’ Finn in another cockpit going WOOOO!, a glimpse of Snoke and Hux and other shots that will delight your Jedi mind.

The film stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Andy Serkis and Oscar Isaac. It is released across the world from the 13th of December – not long now…

Here’s the new TV spot.
