The Force could certainly be with us all sooner than we think, Lucasfilm certainly like to keep those loyal Star Wars fans hanging in anticipation but the light at the end of the hyperspace tunnel is in sight with both the official Star Wars Twitter account and Mark Hamill both teasing that the full trailer for The Last Jedi is just around the corner.

In fact, it could come as soon as October 9th according to Hamill, he took to Twitter to warn people to make sure they are watching Monday Night Football on this date for no reason in particular… However, the tweet has since been deleted, we think Hamill may have been called the headmaster’s office and was given a little telling off and told to remove the tweet from the almighty Lucasfilm executives.

Watch Monday Night Football on Monday, October 9th- for no reason in particular.

You can also see a 10-second teaser below from the official Star Wars account… a teaser that consists of nothing but a hand. Even though this makes people chomp at the bit for something more substantial, it’s a refreshing change than the constant barrage of trailers we normally get from other releases.

Rian Johnson (Looper) directs the film which stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Laura Dern, Lupita Nyongo’o, Kelly Marie Tran, Anthony Daniels, Andy Serkis and Benicio del Toro.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens on December 15th.
