Looking back on its history, and both the Star Wars prequels and original trilogy are well worth revisiting (the latter more than the former, obviously). While neither they nor some of the popular animated spin offs were crammed full of Easter Eggs in the same way as the Marvel movies, there’s a lot of very clever and very funny nods spread throughout them.
10. Throwing In The Kitchen Sink
The Star Wars prequels had their fair share of problems, and many of them had something to do with George Lucas’ over reliance on digital effects. However, one area where CGI came in particularly handy was during the trilogy’s epic space battles, and no doubt one of the most exciting and visually stunning examples of these was the fight which took place above Coruscant in Revenge of the Sith.
When Anakin Skywalker blasts his way through a field of debris, you’ll notice on closer inspection (and even in HD, it’s hard to spot) that spinning out of the wreckage of one exploding ship is quite literally a kitchen sink. This was obviously included just for fun, but you can’t say Lucas didn’t throw everything into this sequence now…
