We’re a week and a half away from once again setting foot on the bridge with our new Star Trek crew, as they face their greatest bout of interstellar peril thus far. As if to force this fact upon us Paramount have unveiled a very swish new IMAX poster.
Star Trek Beyond reunites Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, the late, much-lamented Anton Yelchin and John Cho on board the Enterprise. There are also some new additions to the Trek universe with Idris Elba, Sofia Boutella and Joe Taslim also appearing.
J.J. Abrams returns to the series he helped to revive as a producer, with Fast & Furious man Justin Lin in the director’s chair, taking on a script by Simon Pegg and Doug Jung.
The movie is released on the 22nd of July, a few weeks before the Star Trek franchise celebrates its 50th anniversary. Talk of a fourth instalment has already begun…
