Well, this is interesting! Marvel Studios Co-President Louis D’Esposito has Tweeted out a photo from the set of Doctor Strange  featuring himself alongside director Scott Derrickson and Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man star Tom Holland. Does this mean that Peter Parker is going to cameo in the movie? As you can imagine, speculation is running rampant!

An argument could be made that Marvel wouldn’t spoil a cameo as significant as this with a behind the scenes set photo, and it’s entirely plausible that Holland (as one of the newest additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe) might have been asked tour the movie’s set.

However, it’s worth noting that Spider-Man and Doctor Strange have embarked on a fair few adventures over the years, with their friendship taking centre stage in J. Michael Straczynski’s Amazing Spider-Man run. The wall-crawler showing up in the Sorcerer Supreme’s first movie would certainly boost the its chances of box office success anyway!

We’re just going to have to wait and see how this one potentially develops, but the photo below is certainly intriguing. Past rumours have pointed to Strange possibly becoming a focal point of the MCU after the events of Captain America: Civil War (in the comics, the New Avengers operated out of his Sanctum Sanctorum). Could Spider-Man be his first recruit?
