Ubisoft have released an announcement trailer for Spartacus Legends, the latest scrapperf from Kung Fu Factory.

Partake in gladiatorial combat with battles inspired by the hit TV show.

“Experience all of your favourite combat moments from the Spartacus show and pave the way for your own destiny as a Legend of the arena,” Ubi says.

Spartacus Legends is set to hit PSN and XBLA early next year.

The new game from Ubisoft in reverse of the norm after being inspired by a TV series. The TV show which has swept across the world becoming extremely popular potentially for all the sex and violence that it contains. The show has now had 3 series, the first of which is still our favourite. The second was a prequel after original Spartacus Andy Whitfield became ill with cancer and tragically died. This prequel was designed to give him time to recover but very sadly, he never did.

Liam McIntyre then took over the reigns of the title character in the most recent third series of the show, Spartacus: Blood and Sand which co-stars Lucy Lawless (among many others) and seems to be just a popular. It comes therefore as no surprise that Starz (the people who make the show) have teamed up with gaming developer Ubisoft to make a computer game version of the show where you can be Spartacus and take on the Roman Empire and anyone they throw at you!
