Video games aren’t all about mashing buttons and beating bosses, they have stories too. Only, the stories usually play second fiddle to all the fighting.
This year’s Skylanders Superchargers game took a leaf out of movie story boarding to create a better narrative. Here’s a behind the scenes look at how it worked out:
I wonder how many kids take notice of the story? Mine just whizzed through the games. Now they are a bit older I let them play some of the earlier COD games but they talk all the way through the link sequences which really annoys me – they’re the learning bits! Dad’s boring.
