Writer-director Lynn Shelton returns after finding great success (and a handful of awards) with her last film, Humpday, assembling a cast headed up by Emily Blunt, Rosemarie DeWitt, and Mark Duplass for her latest offering, Your Sister’s Sister.

The film debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival last year, where it was very well received, and subsequently got picked up by IFC for US distribution. Jamie caught the film at the Glasgow Film Festival last month, and you can read his review of the film here.

To go with the lovely first image we saw of Blunt and DeWitt last year, we now have half a dozen more to share with you, courtesy of IMDb.

“A year after his brother’s death, Jack (Duplass) still see-saws between emotionally wobbly and outright volatile. When he makes a scene at a memorial party, Iris (Blunt) intervenes with a plan: Jack must oil up his old bike and trek to her father’s cabin on an island on Puget Sound, where isolation will give his brain a chance to detangle. When Jack gets to the woods, however, he finds not solitude but Iris’ sister Hannah (DeWitt), herself nursing a wounded heart and a bottle of tequila. After several shots and some slurred commiseration, liquor isn’t the only fluid these two end up sharing. Their hangover descends in the form of Iris, who pulls up with a bag of groceries the next morning.”

Your Sister’s Sister, which sees Shelton and Duplass working together again after Humpday, hasn’t yet had its release date announced, but hopefully we won’t have to wait long before we get to see this come to the big screen. As usual with these new images, you can click to enlarge.
