Sienna MillerSienna Miller (The Edge of Love), Toby Jones (Frost/Nixon), Imelda Staunton (Vera Drake) and Penelope Wilton (Iris) have signed on to star in a BBC Two drama about iconic filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock.

Written by Gwyneth Hughes, the as-yet-untitled 90-minute film – described by BBC Drama commissioner Ben Stephenson as “a riveting psychological portrait” – will center on Hitchcock (Jones) and his obsession with actress Tippi Hedron (Miller).

Staunton and Wilton will provide support as Alma Hitchcock and Peggy Robertson, respectively. Julian Jarrold (Appropriate Adult) will direct.
