To celebrate the release of Payback (aka Debt Collectors 2), we got the chance to sit down with star and executive producer Scott Adkins to chat about his latest action extravaganza.
Reprising his role as French from 2018’s The Debt Collector, Adkins, and co-star Louis Mandylor are back and up to their old tricks. Thrust into an explosively dangerous situation, the pair chase down various lowlifes while also evading a vengeful kingpin – just a normal day’s work for our dynamic duo.
In our exclusive interview, Adkins tells us about the sequel as dealing with the effects of the coronavirus pandemic both at home and after his new film Castle Falls (co-starring Dolph Lundgren) was shut down after its first day of filming. He also recounts his love of 80’s action cinema and director Sam Raimi, the latter of which is now directing Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – with Adkins joking that he “cashed his Marvel card too soon!” after appearing in 2016’s predecessor.
