Last night saw the world premiere of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the first feature-length movie to spin off from the franchise created by George Lucas.
Cast members Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk and Donnie Yen joined director Gareth Edwards, producers Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur, Simon Emanuel, Kiri Hart, John Knoll, Jason McGatlin and composer Michael Giacchino were all in attendance as Hollywood Boulevard was closed to traffic for the huge event.
The premiere spared no expense with a full-size X-Wing landing on the famous road and becoming a centrepiece for the production and a whole list of a-list celebrities including Michael Douglas, Christian Bale, Joss Whedon, Anthony Daniels and even some representatives from Backstreet Boys!
‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ s the first (of no doubt many) spin-off Star Wars movies to hit the big screen with the Untitled Han Solo movie and Boba Fett movies also announced. Rogue One sees the fabulous British actor Felicity Jones take on the role as Jyn Erso, the leader of a rogue group tasked with stealing the plans to the Death Star to set up Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope that we all know so well.
