With the supernatural psycho ballet drama Black Swan due out this year we’re getting word on director Darren Aronofsky’s next move.

Jackie is a script written by Noah Oppenheim and deals with the four days between JFK’s assassination and his burial, and Aronofsky is due to produce and direct and EW have the story that the titular Jackie Kennedy will be played by British actress, and Aronofsky’s fiancee, Rachel Weisz.

The project was all set to be an HBO TV film with Steven Spielberg on production duties, but the Noah Oppenheim script is now being put in front of the major studios and with Aronofsky and Weisz attached you can bet they’ll be many interested parties.

I remain entirely confused by The Fountain, their last collaboration, but Weisz is a capable actress whose role in The Constant Gardener really elevated her in my estimation and I cannot wait to see how she handles this role.
