Is it just us, or does it seem like the brand spanking shiny new Power Rangers film feels like it’s taken an age to hit our cinema screens? With the bombardment of images and posters over the past few months giving us our first looks of Rita Repulsa as she took over the Power Rangers Twitter, we thought that day would never come. However, it still isn’t here yet, and we have a brand new clip to keep the interest train rolling.

In the newest clip released, which features all five of the Power Rangers, Trini (Becky G), Kim (Naomi Scott), Jason (Dacre Montgomery), Zack (Ludi Lin), and Billy (RJ Cyler) stumble upon a rather impressive spaceship which has been buried deep beneath the rock indicating its presence there for thousands of years. Feeding their curiosity as they snoop around the ship, it seems to be alive. They get a little more than they bargain for when they encounter, for the very first time Alpha 5, who is voiced by Bill Hader. Grabbing the leg of one of the teenage heroes with his long robotic like tentacle and excitedly yelling “You’re real”
Does the new clip do anything for excitement levels? We’ll let you be the judge of that, but it’s left us feeling more like a coma ranger than a power ranger.
