To celebrate the release of Poor Things, the new film from acclaimed filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos, we had the pleasure of sitting down with some of his cast to find out more about his latest spellbinder.

From the filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos and producer Emma Stone comes the incredible tale and fantastical evolution of Bella Baxter (Stone), a young woman bought back to life by the brilliant Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Defoe). Under Baxter’s protection, Bella is eager to learn. Hungry for the worldliness she is lacking, Bella runs off with Duncan Wedderburn (Mark Ruffalo), a slick and debauched lawyer, on a whirlwind adventure across the continents. Free from the prejudices of her times, Bella grows steadfast in her purpose to stand for equality and liberation.

Chatting to stars Willem Dafoe, Mark Ruffalo, and Ramy Youssef, we talk about the lure of working with Lanthimos and his unique style of filmmaking, the absorbing nature of the script and the challenges it brought them, working with Emma Stone in arguably her best performance thus far, the beauty and detail of the sets and the world created for the film, comedy, tragedy and much more in between.
