Netflix has released the trailer for the Robert Redford and Jane Fonda drama Our Souls at Night which premiered at the Venice Film Festival at the beginning of September.

Based on the novel of the same name by Kent Haruf, the story follows two widowed neighbours, Addie and Louis, after they begin sleeping in bed together platonically to alleviate their loneliness, only to embark on a romance after years of hardly even noticing each other.

Directed by Ritesh Batra from a Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber script, the film stars Robert Redford as Louis Waters, a widower who lives next door to Addie and Holly’s father., Jane Fonda as Addie Moore, a widow who lives next door to Louis, Gene’s mother, and Jamie’s grandmother, Matthias Schoenaerts as Gene Moore, Addie’s son and Jamie’s father and Judy Greer as Holly Waters, Louis’ daughter.

Our Souls at Night is due for a Netflix release on September 29th.
