Pirates of the Caribbean 5 remains shrouded in secrecy for the time being, though we do know that Kon-Tiki’s Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg will be directing for a July 7th, 2017 release.

The movie is expected to be titled “Dead Men Tell No Tales” and Johnny Depp will again return as the beloved Captain Jack Sparrow. However, it sounds as if he may not be the only original cast member we’ll see in the fifth instalment of the franchise as Orlando Bloom has revealed that he too may be back.

“There have certainly been some discussions about it and I’m open to it,” The Hobbit star revealed when asked about a possible return at the Oz Comic Con earlier this week. “That whole experience working with Johnny (Depp) and (director) Gore (Verbinski) was really amazing for me.”

The last time we saw Bloom’s Will Turner in a Pirates of the Caribbean movie was back in 2007 as he returned to dry land for only one day after being cursed to captain The Flying Dutchman for the past decade.

Could this movie cover the events of those ten years or will we see him fight to be released from the curse alongside Sparrow? Catch Me If You Can scribe Jeff Nathanson penned the screenplay for the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean, so we should probably expect plenty of twists and turns anyway!
