Netflix has signed up Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron and Joey King to star in a currently untitled rom-com at the streamer.

The story is set to follow a surprising romance which kicks off comic consequences for a young woman, her mother and her movie star boss as they face the complications of love, sex, and identity. The film was recently greenlit and will shoot later this year.

‘Behind The Candelabra’ writer Richard LaGravenese will direct from a script he co-wrote alongside Carrie Solomon. Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum and Alyssa Altman are producing for Roth/Kirschenbaum Films.

Kidman has had a pretty busy time of it late, starring in Hulu series ‘Nine Perfect Strangers.’ She followed that up with her Oscar-nominated role as Lucille Ball in ‘Being Ricardos.’

Efron’s recent offerings saw him play Ted Bundy in ‘Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile’ and ‘Firestarter’ as well as lending his voice to the role of Fred in the animation ‘Scoob!’. Next up Efron will star in Apple’s ‘The Greatest Beer Run Ever,’ Peter Farrelly’s first film since his Oscar-winning ‘Green Book.’

King’s upcoming projects include Hulu’s ‘The Princess,’ which bows July 1 as well as the highly-anticipated ‘Bullet Train.’
