As the cold weather closes in, at least here in the UK, here’s something to warm you up – a good old fashioned chuckle at several minutes of esteemed and award-winning actor Nicolas Cage losing it in a variety of roles.
There has always been something pretty edgy about his best performances and although lately he has rarely hit the wild-eyed, wild-haired heights of his earlier work (Bad Lieutenant being the most obvious exception) he remains one of the finest actors working today.
Having said that, these clips are absolutely demented. If you haven’t seen the films featured, then much of the next four minutes will make no sense at all, other than leaving you with the general impression that you’d rather not leave Cage to baby-sit your kids. He shouts, he screams, he flails, he paints himself, he complains about bees, he punches and kicks middle-aged women and he starts to burn. Enjoy, for it is hugely enjoyable.
Oh and NSFW. Not by any stretch of the imagination. Unless your boss is happy to have loads of high volume swearing and screaming coming out of your room for a few minutes.
